Why only Wyoming?

Because that is where the mailbox is. We cover one state, and not all of it. The parts we cover are the parts the road goes through.

What does $22 a year buy out here?

Your company's name on the state's list with our address beside it. The address is on a gravel road. The road is real. The gravel is real.

A process server drove out to your address. Then what?

Then the process server drove back. That is a long day for them and no day at all for us.

Is anybody out at the office?

The office is a long drive from anywhere, including from the office. Someone was there when the sign went up. The sign has since gone over.

If this goes sideways, what do I get back?

Three months of fees. At $22 a year that comes to $5.50 if it goes sideways inside the first ninety days. After that, the three months before the trouble hold no fees, since the year was paid at the gate, and the figure is nothing. The $5.50 stays in Wyoming either way.

Will it still be there next year?

The address will. The appointment will not. Nothing out here renews on its own except the wind.

How do I call it off?

You let it. Ending is the one thing it does without you, on a date the state picks and we do not watch.

Are there others, and do they cover more ground?

Is there a person I can raise?

There is a person. Getting hold of them means a drive, and the drive is most of the state.

Does the state let you operate like this?

The Wyoming page quotes the statute word for word, along with what the state does to a company whose agent is us. We put it up so someone passing through would read it.

Is this an actual business?

The price is real, the terms are real, the statute on the Wyoming page is real, and so is what it describes. The service is the part that stayed on the ranch.

What about the wind?

Included. It is the only thing out here that shows up on time.

Can I use you for a company in another state?

No. One state, and not all of it. If your company lives somewhere else, so does your problem.
